My day started with a bang with a phone call from Linda. Remember, she’s watching our nieces Iris & Violet while Valerie & Rick took a quick trip. Well, she came down with the flu overnight. She was really hurting, so I quickly drove over to help out. The kids were wonderful, and Linda’s Mom, Lois, came over to help out too. Between the two of us the kids survived.
It’s amazing how much a difference a year makes. Last Christmas one of Iris’s main presents was a large automated pony that you can sit on and it moves like a real horse. She didn’t like it at all, and wouldn’t even touch it. Look at her now:
She loves the horse and rides it all the time. And she shares it with her dolly and her sister. How great is that.
That’s about all that happened today. Hopefully Linda has the 24 hour flu and will be better tomorrow. We were never able to get our flu shots because of the shortage, so we are probably more susceptible to getting sick. But Linda’s has a strong system so she’ll probably be OK, but if you have not got your flu shots yet, don’t procrastinate any longer. There’s more vaccine available so it should have be easy to get two, the seasonal vaccine and the H1N1 vaccine.

Sorry to hear that Linda got sick while having fun with the girls...:-( But it sounds like everything turned out OK. I did get my seasonal vaccine, but the H1N1 is still hard to get down this way....
