We woke up to rain, which lasted all day. Since it was raining so hard, they called and postponed our installation of the kitchen cabinets until Tuesday. Big disappointment.
Around 10:00am, our contractor, Ted, came to complete some of the work in the kitchen. He had to remodel a wall and move some electrical outlets to facilitate the new cabinets. He also textured the drywall he had installed to match the other walls in the living room.
While he was working, we took Pearl to Lois’s house so that she would be comfortable with all of the activity going on. We also took the opportunity to help Linda’s Mom decorate for the Christmas Holidays. It was a lot of fun, except for the tree lights. They’re always difficult. The house looks really festive, and it helped put us in the Christmas mood.
It was sad coming back to the house without Pearl. But we know Linda’s Mom will take really good care of her, and she’ll be glad to be out of the way.
